Welcome to

Idaho Korean Association

The IKA (Idaho Korean Association) is a not-for-profit organization, whose members include Koreans in Idaho and their family members. The president leads the organization and all the board members and executives. They are volunteers from the local Korean community serving in key project areas.  IKA’s mission is to increase awareness of Korean culture, provide a foundation for second generation Koreans to learn Korean culture and heritage, and promote stronger integration and contribution of Koreans to the local community. The primary source of IKA’s budget is donations from its members, with additional funding support from other individual and public sponsors. Since it was established in 1989, IKA has grown into a very important organization for the estimated 1500 Koreans in Idaho. Their key activities include participation in the 4th of July parade in downtown Boise, Korea Day cultural performances, participation in World Festival, Air Force appreciation day in Mountain Home, conference for Korean War veterans, Korean adoptee meeting, and etc.
